‘Loving and Enjoying Nature’

My friend and I decided to go to Seoul, Korea in October 2015. We considered this season as one of the nicest time to travel as the weather is not too cold and not too hot. At the same time, there was also a CNBlue comeback concert for their album ‘Come Together’ and was held in Jamsil Stadium, so we grabbed this great opportunity.

We stayed in Tomato Guesthouse in Myeongdong – which is accesible to everything – near the Train Stations, Bus Stop and Shopping districts.

I think that Korea has done a good job in preserving their forests and park and at the same time, the location is very convenient even when using the public transportations.

We went to visit Seoul Forest which is accessible by subway:  Seoul Forest Station (Subway Bundang Line), Exit 3. (5min-walk).

Unfortunately, it was raining at that time, so we just took pictures of the entrance and left. But hopefully, next time we get to enter. Click here for more info on SEOUL FOREST.

One of the highlights of our trip was the visit to Hwaseong Fortress [UNESCO World Heritage] (수원 화성 [유네스코 세계문화유산]). It is accessible by subway and bus. More info found in this site Hwaseong Forest

Get off at Suwon Station (Seoul Subway Line 1)
Take Bus 2, 7, 7-2, 8, or 13 and get off at Jongno 4-geori (intersection) bus stop.
Walk 5-minutes to fortress.

After getting off from the bus stop, it was already a very pleasing and relaxing sight and you can be one with nature. When we arrived, there was a scheduled Performance, so we watched this first before entering. You will need to ride this special tour train to go to other special sites of the Fortress.

Here are the screenshots of our trip:

By the way, there was also a scene here from one of the Korean Dramas Like:

Jang Guem –

Or King2Hearts starting Lee Seunggi and Ha Ji Won (credits to MBC for the picture). Romantic, isn’t it? Here is the link to the episode : King2Hearts – First Love

Next on the list is the Namsangol Hanok Village (more info in this l12188954_10207704916238209_8947340584628704279_n.jpgink: Namsangol Hanok Village.

Accessible by Subway: Chungmuro Station (Seoul Subway Line 3 & 4), Exit 3 or 4.
– Walk along the road between oh!zemidong (Chungmuro Media Center) and Maeil Business Newspaper Building (150m).

Here are the screenshots of our journey inside the village, a few of the locations may seem to have taken from those period dramas – like the old folk houses or alleys.

For those places we visited, I suggest wearing comfortable clothes as there is a long distance walking for most of the locations.

Another treasure of Korea is their street food, our favorite and the best during the cold weather, tteokbokki and Odeng (Fish-cake skewers). And even if it was cold, eating ice cream also gives you a refreshing feeling after the long walks.

Now, the major highlight of our trip. The CNBlue Concert!!! But first, one certified fan should make a stop in Gangnam – Apgujeong road for these dolls along the road.

The location of the concert is in Jamsil stadium, but near the venue is one of their famous malls – Lotte World Mall. During that time, the display was Pororo, every kid’s favorite cartoon character and not far behind, was an artistic view of the river and also a jogging path.

From Lotte World Mall, it will just be a few stops away from the venue via their subway. Upon reaching Jamsil Stadium, we fell in love again with the beautiful landscape of the place because of the beautiful leaves and flowers.

Concert Moments up Next…

As we weren’t allowed to take pictures / videos inside the venue, we enjoyed with those selfie moments near the wreath from fans and the posters.

It was truly a memorable experience. These are adventures that one shouldn’t miss. Korea is a big place and there’s so much more to explore and discover. I will keep coming back to this place that I consider as one of my homes. The transportation is very convenient, tourist friendly and I felt safe even when walking at night. So I recommend this to all of you.

Allow me to show some official pictures during the concert to cap off my ‘Autumn Story’.

The DVD for this concert was just relased last Aug 18. And we caught ourselves, included in one of the screencaps:

Hope I was able to give you a meaningful idea on what Korea (Seoul) can offer when you visit during this season and they keep getting better everytime. Hope you can visit soon!

Till my next story. Enjoy!!!
